3 Day Challenge – Day 1
3 Day Challenge - Day 1
Day 1: Dream Big, Start Small – Get Clear on Your 2025 Vision
Welcome to Day 1 of the challenge!
Over the next three days we are looking at one of the most common, yet most ignored tools in the quest to an ideal life…The Vision Board!!
The issue I see is that so many people create a gorgeous looking Vision Board only to hide it away never to be seen again. If is does get put in an open space, often there is still a belief that it is too far from reality and it could never be. How often have you heard people say that a particular thing has been on their Vision Board for YEARS!!
It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of everyday life, feeling like you’re treading water just to stay afloat. But today, I want you to pause. Take a deep breath IN…and OUT

For the next few days, this is your time to step away from the craziness and really think about what you want for your life in the year ahead.
This isn’t about making a massive leap overnight or overhauling everything all at once. (no-one can realistically do that.)
It’s about giving yourself permission to dream big and then breaking it down into small steps that feel doable, even on a tight budget or a busy schedule.
You’ll end today with clarity, motivation, and two powerful tools to kickstart your journey: The Life Audit and the Ideal Day Worksheet.
Are you ready? Let’s GO!!
Step 1: Dare to Dream Big
Before we look at the details, let’s go wide and dream big. What does your ideal 2025 look like? Take a few short minutes to contemplate this…
Imagine you wake up on January 1, 2026, feeling completely content.
What would that version of your life look like?
- Would you feel healthier?
- Happier?
- More connected with your family?
- Maybe you’ve taken a trip you’ve always dreamed of or
- Finally organized your home in a way that feels perfect.
Here are a few questions to get you started:
- What does your ideal day feel like, from the moment you wake up to when you go to bed? *Tip: You can have more than one Ideal Day. You might have an ideal work day, and ideal holiday day, and ideal weekend day or and ideal day off work
- How do you want to feel in 2025? Calmer, happier, healthier?
- Are there areas of your life that currently feel broken or a bit “sucky”
- What would bring more joy, balance, or excitement into your daily life?
If those questions feel too much, don’t worry! That’s why we’re starting small today.
Step 2: Your Ideal Day – Dream
Can you imagine YOUR perfect life? What EXACTLY does it look like?
In this exercise, I guide you through your Ideal Day.
You can do this exercise a number of times if you like, because –let’s face it- nobody wants to be living the same day, no matter how perfect, over and over and over like some weird Ground Hog Day.
I like to have a Perfect Day, a Perfect Weekend Day, a Perfect Work Day, a Perfect Vacation Day etc. Have fun with it.
To get started, make yourself comfortable in your favourite chair, or lie down on your bed and relax. Spend just 5 minutes or so immersing yourself in your ideal day.
When you are ready, write it all down. Get REALLY specific, you want this vision to be as if you are REALLY living it NOW.
Enjoy this process to dream of YOUR Ideal Day(s)

The worksheet will help you visualize what a perfect day in 2025 looks like. You’ll answer questions like:
- What time do you wake up?
- What’s the first thing you do?
- How do you spend your morning, afternoon, and evening?
- Who do you spend your time with?
- What activities make you feel fulfilled, happy, or energized?
Take your time and dream freely. This isn’t about what’s realistic or practical—it’s about imagining what’s possible.
The Magic of Small Steps
Once you’ve sketched out your ideal day, ask yourself:
- What’s one small thing you can do this week to make that vision a little closer to reality?
- If your ideal day includes a calm, organized morning routine, could you start by waking up 10 minutes earlier to have quiet time with a cup of tea? (Have the kitchen ready to go with the kettle filled and your cup out waiting)
- If your vision includes better health, could you take a 10-minute walk (Get off the bus one stop earlier and walk the rest of the way)or plan one healthy meal (Make a “fake-away” meal – DIY Pizza or Tacos) this week?
Remember, the path to big changes is starting small. Each little step brings your closer to your ideal, and before you know it, those steps add up to something incredible.
Step 3: The Life Audit – Where Are You Now?
Before we can figure out where you’re going, you need to get clear on where you are. That’s where the Life Audit download comes in.
A MAJOR part of your ideal life is to have Balance. I am not just talking about work-life balance (whatever the heck that means 😊)
But rather balance in the way that every part of your life is equally as perfect.
You may have seen the “Wheel of Life” many times before, but if you haven’t, the idea is to score each part of your life and thus determine which part of your life needs attention.

In this next exercise, I have set out the areas of your life and tabulated them rather than using a wheel.
This simple worksheet will help you assess different areas of your life and identify what’s working well and what needs a little improvement.
The Life Audit breaks your life into these key areas:
- Home & Environment
- Family & Friends
- Romance / Significant Other
- Health
- Career / Business
- Wealth
- Personal Growth, Learning & Spirituality
- Fun, Hobbies & recreation
Rate each area out of 10, don’t think too hard about the WHY just know, just go with your feelings.
This is what I call my “Current Life Level”
When you have completed each section, add up your scores and divide by 8. This will give you the average of your overall life.
Be honest with yourself—this isn’t about being perfect or judging where you’re at. It’s about understanding the baseline so you can move forward.
Take 10–15 minutes to complete your Life Audit now.
Reflecting on Your Life Audit
Now that you’ve rated each area, look back at your scores.
• Which areas are you happiest with? Even if you’re only at a 6 or 7 in some areas, be grateful for those wins.
• Which areas have the lowest scores? These are your opportunities for growth and improvement in 2025.
The goal isn’t to necessarily aim for a perfect 10 in every category.
Life changes and what might have been a 10 in the past might only rate a 4 or 5 now.
Take a closer look over each section and choose just ONE area that has scored less than a perfect 10.
What can you do in the next 30 days to improve that score by just a little bit?
What would help move that area closer to your ideal life you imagined earlier?
Be creative here, most things can be achieved for little to no money or take much extra time from your day.
Some ideas I have seen from ladies who have done this exercise:
- Improved Health by committing to walking just 5 minutes every day (because 30 minutes was just NOT do-able right now)
- Improved Relationships with a spouse by having “Day Dates” rather than Date Nights which involved expensive baby sitter They arranged play dates for their kids and packed a picnic for themselves and spent that time at a park or beach.
- Improved Health AND Family AND Relationships by making walking the dogs a family outing where they asked “what was the best part of your day?
- Improved Wealth my committing to saving just $5.00 per week into a higher interest account.
- Improved Personal Growth by discovering her local library had a HUGE selection of eBooks and Audio books that could be consumed on her daily commute.
- Improved Home & Environment by making the bed every morning.
As you can see, these tiny actions can help lift your spirit and propel you toward that ideal life you dream of, and there does NOT need to be a bucket load of money spent.
It is more about finding what areas need more attention to bring your overall rating up, even if by just one step.
- Who do you spend your time with?
- What activities make you feel fulfilled, happy, or energized?
Take your time and dream freely. This isn’t about what’s realistic or practical—it’s about imagining what’s possible

Step 4: Vision Board Creation
Now that you’ve completed the Life Audit and Ideal Day exercises, it’s time to put it all together.
I know I said earlier that traditional vision boards can be problematic – and I truly believe they are..
Here is my remedy to that and how to create a Vision Board that is more aligned with YOUR vision.
Have a look back at your Life Audit page and create a Vision Board section for each of the areas your want to improve in the next year.
My own vision board currently has images relating to travel, health and good food 😊
To get started divide a piece of paper (or a Canva page) into 8 sections. Now fill each section in with your ideals. Then you can mix them up and create something pretty.
I prefer to use digital images as I can find the EXACT thing I am visualising rather than “near enough” pictures from magazines.
Don’t forget to add some words and feelings to the mix as well.
When you are happy with your finished project, put it somewhere you can see it every day. Mine is printed on A4 and lives on top of my tall boy. In the past I have taken a photo of it and used it as the wallpaper on my phone and iPad too.
A Few Final Tips
- Focus on YOU : When dreaming about 2025, focus on how you want to feel as much as things. Balance and happiness often comes from less “stuff” and more “it feels good”
- Don’t compare: Your dream life doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. There are loads of examples of this .. One of mine involves holidays.. The perfect holiday for instance for me is not a 5 star hotel, but rather a cute cottage by the beach or in the country that is close to a farmers market where hubby and I can buy some amazing local produce and spend a lazy afternoon cooking up a superb meal..
It is this point that makes me not a “coach”… I cannot TELL you what an ideal life is because yours and mine are often very different. I prefer to be a Strategy Mentor. Here do give you tips and tools to make you work out exactly what that ideal life looks like for YOU.
- Make it Achievable: Do not plan for a 1 to 10 quick fix. Most of the time that is not going to happen immediately. After all, if it was that easy, you would already be doing it 😊
- Keep it flexible: Life happens, and your vision may evolve over time. That’s okay! What matters is that you’re taking intentional steps toward a life you love.
